With kids and parents at home this fall, now is a great time to participate in the annual, statewide earthquake drill called The Great Shakeout! The whole family can practice drop, cover and hold-on together and then gather outside at their designated meeting place. In Palo Alto, that;s usually out at the sidewalk since most of our power lines run behind structures, not along the street. Maybe you’ll spot other families on your street doing the same!
The Great Shakeout is October 15 at 10:15 AM but you can do the drill at a time that works best for you.
